Technical Definition – A simple design plan that shows the relative size and placement of elements on a screen.
Layman’s Definition – A layout the provides the approximate location and size of different components on a page or a screen. It is meant to demonstrate basic arrangement of those pieces and does not include cosmetic or aesthetic design details.
How we use it – alligatortek submits wireframes for key pages/screens of any application that we design. Getting client approval of these wireframes helps to ensure that elements on the screen are intuitively placed where users expect to find them.
