2019 has been a year of change for all of us here at alligatortek. With all these new changes, we want to take a moment to bring you up to speed on everything we’ve been doing this year and give you a bit of a preview of what is to come.
New Office in Downtown Chicago
As you might have heard, at the beginning of this year, we relocated our corporate offices to 200 S. Wacker Drive, Ste 200 in the Loop, right across the street from Willis Tower. We have settled into our new home and have been loving the new location. Don’t worry, the Stella Artois kegerator made it through the move just fine!
This new, more centralized location gives us the opportunity to achieve our ambitious goals for this year and beyond. It gives us easier access to our local clients and makes us more accessible to them as well. It also helps attract the best talent the city has to offer which is an essential part of the growth we plan to achieve.
New Faces on the Team
Speaking of bringing in the best talent, this past year has been marked by change and growth at alligatortek in terms of hiring. Late last year, we brought on a Talent Acquisition Partner to re-imagine and restructure our entire hiring process. We have optimized the process from reaching out to candidates all the way through their onboarding process.
We have also created a new role in the marketing department, bringing on a Digital Marketing Specialist, who is responsible creating and executing a digital marketing strategy to build our brand and support our business development efforts.
Lastly, we created a much needed UX/UI department. They are tasked with redefining the design process and creating more usable, modern products that better serve our clients. In addition to these three key additions to our organization, we have continued to expand our core positions – software architects, business architects and business development managers.
New faces and a new office aren’t the only things changing around here. We won’t give away too much about our plans going forward but we can give you a preview. We have added a few more services to our tool belt including chat bots, outsourced staffing, and more. Adding more diversity to our offerings gives us the opportunity to make our custom solutions even more tailored to the needs of our clients.
If you missed it, our CEO, Sid Bala, was a panelist at the BuiltWorlds Q&A with Paul Rentzelos of Leopardo talking about the importance of ROI. You can see some of that Q&A on our YouTube channel. You can also catch Sid moderating the upcoming panel at Disrupting Technology in November.
As we continue to grow, we are constantly looking for ways to raise the bar and push ourselves even more. Adding new, cutting-edge services and establishing ourselves as experts in the Chicago tech space is just the beginning. We are dedicated to being one of the top development firms in Chicago and beyond.
