About the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For
On July 21, alligatortek attended the 2014 awards ceremony for the National Association for Business Resources’ “Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” competition. In addition to the 101 companies honored during the event, the association recognized 12 “Elite” winners for exceptional performance in designated categories.
alligatortek is proud to announce that we received the Elite Award for “The Best of the Best Small Businesses.” As the recipient of this award, we were recognized among companies of fewer than 100 employees for our exemplary performance and innovation and demonstration of a true entrepreneurial spirit.
We’re honored to have received this recognition and will strive to maintain the cultural qualities that keep our employees happy and proud to be members of the alligatortek team.
The 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For competition allows businesses to showcase best practices in human resources. The goal of the competition is not only to raise the standard of excellence for human resources every year, but also to make each participating region a better place to work – and live – by promoting enriching environments for their employees.
The evaluation process includes two rounds of questionnaires for each company: the human resources department fills out a detailed survey of the company and, later, employees are emailed an anonymous survey. After thoroughly analyzing the data, the association sends assessment reports to each participating business. These reports help employers to find strengths and weaknesses in their employee engagement levels and human resources functions.
Judges search for outstanding human resources programs, also taking into account a company’s ability to adapt to the marketplace and unique thought processes within the business. Several human resources categories serve as the basis for the evaluation, including communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and retention. Each region’s top-scoring 101 companies earn awards, with 12 Elite Awards given to the best in each category.
